FIP: Everything Burns Introduced Car Wreck Wrestling
FIP: Everything Burns 2017 opened with Teddy Stigma winning the highly anticipated Get The Contract Fight For All by taking the center of the ring with a barbwire-wrapped board and simply taking the contract to fight Fred Yehi for the FIP World Championship later in the night.
Things came further unglued from there as a tag team match between the teams of Sami Callihan and Dave Crist and Sammy Guevara and Dezmond Xavier was broken up before it started by Darby Allin, who asked if the men knew Uncle John, resulting in Callihan, Crist and Allin attacking Guevara and Xavier.
Allin, Guevara and Xavier -- now known as The Friends of Uncle John -- then interupted a three-way bout between AR Fox, Jason Cade and Jason Kincaid. Fox turned on the two opponents to reveal himself as another friend of Uncle John. This paved the way for the main event eight-man tag team match of Callihan, Crist, Fox and Allin against Cade, Kincaid, Guevara and Xavier.
With the crowd seemingly on the edge of a revolt, the evening's real action got underway with a tremendous match between Austin Theory and Anthony Henry. Henry, who is quickly making a name for himself through the FloSlam platform, looked tremendous, but a distraction from Dante Brown at ringside gave Theory the chance to score a roll-up for the win.
Martin Stone made a successful defense of his Florida Heritage Championship next, fending off a stiff challenge from Jon Davis. Stone repeatedly complained about Davis' brawling tactics, asking for a true wrestling match before finally scoring a win by knocking out the challenger with a chain.
In a FIP Tag Team Championship match, The Hooligans met challengers Drennen and Parrow. In no time, the bout became a wild brawl around the venue with tables, chairs and anything else within reach. After a brutal clash, the barefoot boys battled their way to a successful title defense.
Stigma and Yehi met in the FIP World Chapionship bout next, and again, the no rules approach of FIP changed the game. Yehi was obviously the better technician, but Stigma's willingness to do anything to take the title made things difficult for the champion. By the end of the match, the ring was covered in beer bottle caps, and Yehi added a barbwire board to his Koji Clutch to get the tap and retain his title.
The chaotic eight-man tag match ended the night. Everyone in the match pulled out all the stops. Uncle John's Friends were pushed to the limit by the men they'd wronged earlier in the night but were able to come out on top after a brutal match filled with heart-stopping moments.
