Timothy Thatcher vs. ACH Rounds Out EVOLVE 81 lineup

EVOLVE has been on a roll recently, establishing itself as the premier American independent wrestling promotion while piling up headline-grabbing additions to the roster.

After an amazing EVOLVE 79 shifted the landscape of the promotion with Zack Sabre Jr. ending the near 600 day title reign of Timothy Thatcher, the promotion is heading into WrestleMania weekend with tons of momentum. Today, WWN officials released the card for EVOLVE 81 on March 31 and it's loaded from top to bottom.

In the main event, Sabre will face off with international superstar Michael Elgin in a non-title match. Elgin will be making his EVOLVE debut over the weekend, first partnering with Donovan Dijak to challenge Fred Yehi and Tracy Williams for the tag titles at EVOLVE 80 before trying to prove himself as a true title challenger by taking out Sabre.

In recent months, Matt Riddle has been focused on individual accomplishments and has shown little appreciation in situations where he's had to be saved by his Catch Point teammates. That attitude finally pushed EVOLVE tag champ and FIP world heavyweight champ Fred Yehi over the edge as he challenged his teammate to a match. Riddle happily accepted and the match is now set for EVOLVE 81.

A true "hoss battle" is set for the event with Donovan Dijak facing off with Keith Lee. Since losing to Chris Hero and being told to find his killer instinct, Lee has been on a roll, even knocking off Sabre one day before he won the EVOLVE Championship. Dijak is looking to prove himself as he moves from ROH to EVOLVE.

As announced earlier today, Lio Rush has moved back to EVOLVE after winning the 2016 ROH Top Prospect Tournament. In Rush's brief run in EVOLVE in late 2015-early 2016, he picked up a win over Fred Yehi. That win stands out now, but Rush has only improved, becoming a top independent star. In his re-debut with EVOLVE, he is set for a major challenge against Drew Galloway.

Timothy Thatcher is on the warpath after losing his championship and he has his sights set on ACH for his involvement in the post-match situation at EVOLVE 79. ACH was originally set to face Galloway, but Thatcher and manager Stokely Hathaway made it known they want to teach a lesson to the EVOLVE newcomer.
